We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Team Leader within our strongroom department. As our Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for the end-to-end integrity of precious metal stock within the Strongroom. This role demands absolute precision in the booking, weighing, and verification of alloys to ensure total traceability. You will supervise a dedicated team, ensuring that all operational protocols are followed with zero margin for error, while reporting directly to the Production Supervisor.

In return, we will provide you with on-the-job training, guidance and the support you need to build on your existing experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols; manage risk assessments and maintain 5S standards through regular departmental audits.
- Maintain accurate training records and matrices; oversee ADP time and attendance, including the reporting of absences and leave.
- Lead daily production briefings and attend cross-departmental meetings regarding inventory, melt waste, and output results.
- Accurately check, weigh, and assign metal to production locations. Process scrap, sweeps, and O&E for internal and external recoveries.
- Minimise inventory holdings in line with budgetary requirements and lead formal stocktake investigations.
- Perform XRF analysis, machine cast bars (milling), and drill bars for assay sampling to ensure correct alloy specifications.
- Monitor melts for losses, investigate anomalies, and provide technical explanations for any variances in material weight.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need experience within a production, engineering, or high-value manufacturing environment. You will need an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to execute complex procedures with accuracy. You will also need the ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team.
