Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking for an experienced and motivated buyer to join our newly centralised purchasing team.
As a member of our small, friendly team, you will play a crucial role in optimising our purchasing processes; sourcing and purchasing a diverse range of goods and services, ensuring best value in terms of price, quality and delivery.
This is an ideal position for someone who is passionate about procurement and eager to make a significant impact on how the business procures its goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
As one of our Buyers, you will:
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, from initial enquiry and RFQ through to supplier selection and product changes
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and commercial terms to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Monitor market trends for precious metals and jewellery components to inform sourcing strategies and cost management
- Track supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost) and implement improvements where necessary
- Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the supply chain
- Assist in risk management by identifying potential supply chain disruptions and developing mitigation plans
- Processing requisitions and placement of purchase orders to support the purchasing team
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of two years' purchasing experience, ideally in a manufacturing, engineering or automotive environment. You will need an analytical mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills. With a high attention to detail and excellent Excel skills, you will also have experience with ERP systems.
